What are the benefits of dermal fillers?

What are the side-effects ?

The most common side-effects of dermal fillers are, tenderness, redness, swelling and bruising - these are only temporary and should settle 24-48 hours after treatment.

More serious issues include infections, skin nodules, cycts and a vascular occlusion. I recommend patients keep their skin clean for the rest of the day following treatments - no make-up, lip balms etc. I also use the safest techniques available to prevent such problems as a vascular occlusion (where filler is injected into the vessel)
Will I require any aftercare?

I recommend the following to all of my patients:
Drink plenty fluids after any injectable treatments
Do not touch the treated area for 8 hours
No make-up for 8 hours
Avoid sunbeds/saunas/steamrooms for 2 weeks
